Blazeguard's Service Geography
Jefferson County and the surrounding Front Range foothills form one of the most complex wildfire-risk environments in the United States. The mix of ponderosa pine, lodgepole pine, Gambel oak, and open grassland, combined with steep terrain and the Front Range's characteristic chinook winds, creates fire behavior that can escalate quickly and reach structures before residents have time to act. Blazeguard is based in Morrison, at the heart of this geography, and works across all the communities listed below.
The Jefferson County Wildfire Resiliency Code takes effect July 1, 2026. It sets defensible space and structure-hardening standards that apply to new construction and substantial remodels in the mapped WUI Overlay, enforced at the building-permit stage. Existing homes are generally grandfathered, but bringing your property up to standard now helps with insurance and prepares you for any future remodel or sale.
Every Blazeguard project includes an Impact Certificate that supports Jefferson County Wildfire Resiliency Code compliance.
